Australian cruise lovers seeking a more exotic itinerary close to home can save up to A$16,680 per couple or A$21,045 for solo travellers on a rarely offered South Seas journey with Ponant from Fiji to Bali in 2025.
The tropical, three-week voyage aboard the boutique, Polynesian-themed cruise ship, Le Paul Gauguin, will take adventurers on a culturally immersive sojourn to paradisiacal islands in six countries – Fiji, Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, East Timor and Indonesia.
Australian small ship cruise specialist, Cruise Traveller, is offering the extensive savings on the voyage along with a $400 per person air credit for bookings made by September 30, 2023.
The cruise begins in Lautoka, Fiji, on January 19, 2025, when guests will board Ponant’s elegant, 330-passenger Le Paul Gauguin for the 20-night voyage to Bali. A true cocoon of comfort and elegance, Le Paul Gauguin features a shallow draft that allows it to access shallow lagoons and isolated islands bigger ships cannot reach. Plus, all cabins offer ocean views.
The itinerary offers a host of tropical Edens from the powdery, palm-fringed beaches of Espiritu Santo in Vanuatu, the lush jungles and renowned diving sites of the Solomons and the pristine islands off Papua New Guinea, to the colourful, intact culture of East Timor, the famous, pre-historic-like dragons of Komodo Island and beautiful Bali where the cruise ends. Spectacular scuba diving, supervised by a Ponant instructor, is available for qualified guests at many of the destinations.
Including onboard beverages, the 20-night voyage is available from A$11,980 per person, twin-share, in a porthole stateroom with sea views – a saving of A$4735 per person. In a balcony cabin, the cruise is available from A$16,120 per person, twin-share – a saving of A$6505 per person. And in a veranda stateroom, fares are from A$20,390 per person, twin-share – a saving of A$8340 per person. Flights to Fiji and home from Bali are additional.
Solo travellers can enjoy a zero single supplement too, with fares from A$11,980 in a porthole stateroom – a big saving of A$16,680. The reduced solo fare is limited and subject to availability and advance bookings are recommended.
The savings and a bonus A400 per person credit towards airfares are available for bookings made by September 30, 2023.
