Building upon the success of its global TikTok channel @RoyalCaribbean (510K followers and 5.5M likes), the cruise line aims to inspire local travellers by showcasing the thrills and chills of a Royal Caribbean holiday from Australia.

@RoyalCaribbeanAUNZ was unveiled on Monday 17 July, targeting young couples of today and families of tomorrow. As excitement builds for the summer sailing season commencing November 2023, Royal Caribbean has kick-started its TikTok presence with a range of sun-soaked content and competition to win the ultimate holiday.

The new channel spotlights the unique sensory experiences on board and at its epic destinations, as guests Holiday in Every Way. From exploring tropical islands to embarking on a gourmet getaway, with Royal Caribbean travellers can enjoy exploring Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

TikTok fans can expect cruise tips, destination guides, and even an exclusive glimpse into what goes on behind-the-scenes. What’s more, Royal Caribbean will team up with an extensive range of crew members, content creators, and passengers to provide insights on how to squeeze more out of summer.

The 2023-2024 AUNZ cruise season is set to be the biggest yet with three ships in market, reaffirming Royal Caribbean’s commitment to the region and in response to guest demand. Through TikTok, Royal Caribbean AUNZ will reach thousands of cruise fans, while also attracting and connecting with new-to-cruise audiences.

To celebrate the launch of its TikTok channel, from July 17 to July 31, 2023, Royal Caribbean will be giving away a free cruise to one lucky follower. To enter the competition, Australian residents need to follow @RoyalCaribbeanAUNZ on TikTok, comment on the pinned video, and read the caption for further instructions. The winner will receive an all-expenses-paid cruise of up to 12-nights this summer, exploring the South Pacific or New Zealand.

To promote the competition, Royal Caribbean AUNZ has partnered with several influential content creators who have created captivating content showcasing the best aspects of Royal Caribbean AUNZ itineraries and onboard activities, either through personal experience or comedy. Collaborators include Australian lifestyle, travel and comedy TikTokers such as Sydney-based Starr McGowan aka @Starr, sketch genius Tim Collins aka @100percentthattim, singer-songwriter @EricaPadilla and cruise fanatic Ali Smith aka @alismithhhh.
