Oceania’s Vista: Unprecedented Features & Cuisine

Oceania Cruises has officially taken delivery of its latest ship, Vista, marking the debut of the Allura Class in the global cruise industry. The 67,000-tonne vessel boasts 11 culinary venues, including three new concepts, spacious staterooms and world-class entertainment. The ship will be christened on 8 May 2023 in Valletta, Malta, and is highly anticipated by both loyal and new guests.

Vista is the latest addition to Oceania Cruises’ fleet, known for its destination-rich itineraries and exceptional dining experiences. The ship features three brand-new dining concepts, including Ember, a signature restaurant offering elevated American cuisine, Aquamar Kitchen, which brings wellness offerings to a new level, and The Bakery at Baristas, an expansion of the popular coffee bar serving freshly baked French and Italian pastries.

In addition to its dining options, Vista also offers Broadway-calibre productions featuring recognisable songs by some of the world’s most beloved artists and contemporary dance numbers led by “Dancing with the Stars” choreographer Britt Stewart. The ship also has the most spacious standard staterooms at sea, with only a few select staterooms available for its inaugural summer season in the Mediterranean.

“Today we usher in a new era for Oceania Cruises with the delivery of Vista,” said Frank A. Del Rio, President of Oceania Cruises. “We could not have built such an exceptional ship without the close partnership enjoyed with Fincantieri. We thank each and every person who had a hand in bringing her to life. From the smallest of design details to the largest per capita galley at sea, Vista is a marvel that will be enjoyed by guests for decades to come.”

The ship will be christened on 8 May 2023, in an exclusive ceremony in Valletta, Malta, by celebrated Italian-American chef, author, restaurateur, and Emmy Award-winning food personality Giada De Laurentiis. The event will be live-streamed for anyone who wishes to join.

Vista’s leadership team has also been announced, with Captain Luca Manzi, Staff Captain Edgardo Cossu, General Manager Dominique Nicolle, Executive Chef Frederic Camonin, Food & Beverage Director Susanna Cahyadi, and Cruise Director Paul Baya leading 800 crew members on the 1,200-guest ship. The newly appointed shipboard leaders bring widespread experience from longstanding careers in the industry to their new roles.

After summer in the Mediterranean, Vista will sail to Canada and New England before heading south for winter itineraries exploring the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America.
