To mark its 150th anniversary in 2023, Holland America Line has announced the launch of Legendary Voyages, a new category of extended destination-in-depth cruises that range from 25 to 56 days. The new voyages are designed to combine the pomp and grandeur of Holland America Line’s Grand Voyages with itineraries that explore a collection of ports in each destination. Most of the Legendary Voyages sail roundtrip or to/from a North American homeport, making it easy for travellers to see the world from their doorstep.
As a leader in long itineraries, Holland America Line offers a variety of perfectly sized ships that will take guests to explore Australia and New Zealand, the Amazon and South America, the South Pacific and Hawaii, Greenland and Iceland, Asia, Alaska, and the Arctic Circle. These new Legendary Voyages are carefully crafted to allow guests to linger longer and enjoy the journey and destination.
The Legendary Voyages include three new itineraries for Holland America Line: the 28-day “Arctic Circle Solstice,” the 53-day “Majestic Japan,” and the 28-Day “Coral Triangle, Volcanoes and The Great Barrier Reef.” Each itinerary offers unique experiences, such as lesser-visited ports like Nome and Homer in Alaska and overnights at Yokohama (Tokyo) and Kobe.
In addition to the on-shore experiences, Holland America Line will offer a range of on-board programming to enhance the guest experience. Guests will enjoy iconic theme parties, memorable sails away, and classic cruise activities. The shipboard programming is specially curated to share insights into the history and culture of the destinations visited.
The Legendary Voyages also offer guests more time in port to experience the nightlife with overnight stays in marquee ports, including Anchorage, Alaska; Hobart, Tasmania; Honolulu, Hawaii; Manaus, Brazil; Moorea, French Polynesia; Papeete, Tahiti; Reykjavík Iceland; and Yokohama (Tokyo) and Kobe, Japan.
